Wake Up to Your Life
Cultivating Attention
The WUTYL "Cultivating Attention" group seeks to
provide a supportive environment in which newcomers can begin to learn
how to cultivate attention in their daily lives. We provide basic
meditation instruction, a group practice session, and a period to discuss
topics relevant to meditation or Buddhist practice.
The group meets from 12-1:15 p.m. every Wednesday afternoon and from 7-9:00 p.m. every Wednesday evening. Both groups meet at the Narasiharama Buddhist Center of Ohio at 1005 W. King Ave. At both meetings, there is a period for meditation practice and time to study topics of interest to group members. We generally study Ken McLeod's book, "Wake Up To Your Life: Discovering the Buddhist Path of Attention” or listen to podcasts of retreats given by Ken.
